Adding a New Post

To add a new post to your site, go to your Dashboard, open the Posts tab and click 'Add New'.

You'll be taken to a new page where you can write a new post. Here's what you can do:

Title#

Every post needs a title. It can be anything you want.

Slug#

The slug is the actual link to your post. It will be added automatically after you've added a title. It doesn't need to be the same as the title though, so you can change it if you want.

Content#

The big white box is where you can add the content of your post. This is the actual text part of your post. Located on top of the content box is a toolbar so you can edit your text to be bold, italic, change its heading and more. The toolbar can be extended with more options. If your familiar with any document editor, you'll see the options here are about the same.

Add Media#

By clicking the Add Media button, located above the content, you can add any type of media to your post. The media will be inserted where you left off when typing. Images can be adjusted in size and positioned.

Publish#

The Publish box on the right side allows you to publish your post immediately or later, save it as a draft, change its visibility and preview the post. When you change its visibility to private that means only you can see it. If you set a password to the post then anyone with the password can view the post.

Categories#

Every post requires to be put in a category. The default category is News. But you can add as many categories as you want.

The Featured Image is an image attached to the post which will be seen on top of every post, and on every list of posts (unless disabled). We recommend setting a featured image for every post. Featured images are automatically shown when sharing links on social media. They'll make your post stand out.

Post SEO Settings#

These settings affect how your post will be shown by search engines and social media. SEO settings are automatically completed but you can choose to override these. You can also choose for the post not to be indexed by your site and search engines, or to redirect to another post or page.
